I've visited English Meadows Blacksburg Campus. It's the best that I've seen in terms of the activities that they do, the rooms, the staff, and the happiness of the residents. They have different games. And they have a separate area for that from the dinner and lunch area. They do field trips and things, and they were going to the mall when we were there. We toured the entire assisted living area, and the floor was clean, there was nothing around, and it wasn't dirty.

Welcoming atmosphere! Food is excellent in comparison to others I have been to. All inclusive pricing is excellent. Staff are friendly, facility is clean and appears well kept. 1 bedrooms are spacious. Family night events are well planned and prepared. Activities are fun and engaging.

My friend moved into here. It's a relatively new facility and it's really in very good condition. The layout is very serviceable so I don't have problems with that. The people I've dealt with have been most accommodating. My friend is very happy with the food and the dining area is clean, light, and airy. I have had one meal with her and the staff is very attentive to what we want. They tried to find something to suit my friend's requests for food. They have an arts and crafts person who comes on a regular basis, and there are some pictures on the wall which are of the crafty variety that they've made in this class. They also have beading and Bingo. They also have planned activities like lunch and yesterday, and they previously had an Elvis impersonator. It's also competitively priced with other senior living places in the area.

I visited and the place is very good and brand new. Everything was excellent. The staff was very professional. Their accommodations were probably the best in the area. Everything was very neat, clean, and modern.

We moved mom in. They seemed to offer the level of care that we needed, and it was affordable; that is why we chose this place. The facility is brand new, clean, and fresh. The room was very nice. The staff seemed wonderful. They really engage with their residents, and the food seemed to be really good as well.

It is brand new, very pretty, and nice. My husband is in the memory care unit. Each person has their own bedroom with an entryway and a bathroom. You can have a private room, but I did not want a situation where there were two men in 1 room. The staff all seemed extremely nice and very interested in what they were doing. All the staff members -- whether they were aides or kitchen staff or front desk -- were all very open, friendly, and good with the residents. My husband seems very happy with the food. They have exercise class in the morning, and they offer occupational therapy and physical therapy. They have a room where they congregate and could be described as a great room or a community room. It has very nice set of couches and chairs, and that room is also where the memory care residents eat. It's very nice and attractive. There is a fenced in outside area where you can go out and walk around or sit outside, and the residents will not be able to exit. They can't go outside. The doors have keypads, so you can't get in or out of the unit without one of the staff using the keypad.

Attractive, clean, with good services, activity, and menu. Would definitely consider if we hadn't find an equivalent facility closer to home. Also, for my Mom, the layout might not have been optimal. In the closer facility, she would step our of her room and be immediately in contact with people. Will still give five stars, however, because for someone functioning at a slightly higher level than my mother, this would be a great community.

Staff at this facility are wonderful! Management has come a tremendous way and are doing a wonderful job. Matt, the administrator, is sincere and hard working to ensure all of his residents are well taken care of. Lea, the ADON, is a new change to the building and she is AMAZING! She works her butt off and truly has the staff and her residents needs in mind. I visit weekly with hospice and always recommend this ALF because the staff truly cares!

Great Staff that care and have passion to do the job! Management team very down to earth and do what is needed for the residents! Blacksburg Campus is Family and feels very warm and welcoming!!!

Great Atmosphere, clean facility and friendly staff! Going on 2 years here @ EM in Blacksburg, Love all of my residents but especially my Memory care residents 💖

Great environment with smiling faces and staff that is always willing to help! Highly recommend!!

Everyone working at this community are pleasant and helpful. The residents seem so at home. I would like to live here if I was in need of the services they offer.

Great place! Staff is always friendly, very clean and residents are always happy.
